Hi, I’m Drea
I am Andrea (“Drea”) Vega, MA, a clinical psychology doctoral student (PsyD program) and therapist-in-training practicing under supervision. I also write a psychoeducational blog where I share reflections about mental health, relationships, and navigating everyday overwhelm. My clinical work and my writing are both guided by the same intention: to make emotional experience feel more understandable and less lonely.
I approach therapy in a warm, grounded, and relational way. I aim for our work together to feel like a space where you can exhale a little, where you do not have to be “on,” have the right words, or make your struggles sound more acceptable than they really feel.
Together, we pay attention to the patterns underneath the pain: how you relate to other people, how you respond to stress, what happens inside you when things feel overwhelming, and the ways you may have learned to cope, protect yourself, or hold it all together. Rather than reducing you to a diagnosis or label, I am interested in understanding the broader context of who you are, what you have been carrying, and what healing might look like in your actual life.
My style is collaborative and thoughtful, with room for both gentleness and honest reflection. I care about supporting you in building insight and also in noticing small shifts—feeling more connected to yourself, more flexible in your relationships, and a little less alone in the things that feel hard. All clinical services I provide are offered within the scope of my training and under the supervision and policies of my training site.
With care,
Drea
